Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at kristenklogan@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

You will need a treat pouch (preferably with a magnetic closure) and small, tasty treats which are soft and easy for your dog to eat. Bring your growth mindset too —because learning is all about celebrating progress, not perfection!

Training helps improve communication between you and your dog, strengthens the bond between you, and makes your dog a better-behaved member of your family.

 We use positive reinforcement to help dogs learn. We celebrate the behaviours we want to see and guide dogs toward the skills we want them to learn—without punishment, pressure, or focusing on what not to do.

You’ll learn how to reward good behaviour instead of punishing unwanted behaviour, and how to teach your dog what to do rather than focusing on what not to do.

 We use modern science to guide our training, applying the latest research in animal behaviour and learning.

Yes, older dogs can still learn new things. It may take more time and patience, but we can work with dogs of any age, including elderly dogs!

We offer dog training services for every stage of your dog's life. Every session is tailored to you and your dog's needs and we work with you to meet these.

If you said yes to any of these, we can help!

  • Is your dog stressed at the grooming salon?

  • Is your dog anxious at the vet clinic?

  • Does your dog pull on the lead and take you for a walk?

  • Does your dog jump on guests?

  • Is your dog silly on the lead around other dogs?

  • Does your dog worry when it sees you with the brush?

  • Does your dog fret at bath time?

  • Are you having trouble giving your dog medicine as recommended by the vet?

  • Does your dog "forget" to come back when you call him at the park?

We’ll work with you to overcome these challenges—or any others you may be experiencing—so you and your dog can feel confident, calm, and happy.

             ~~~
If requested, we can prepare your dog for the grooming salon from the comfort of your home. This requires a minimum of 5 sessions so that your dog can become familiar with the sights, sounds and handling that comes with a salon visit.
Payment is requested prior to session commencement using PayID. Please include your dog's name AND your name in the reference.
Yes, please let us know at least one day before the session time.
We understand that life happens and things can come up unexpectedly. However, repeated cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in us being unable to continue offering sessions. If you have an emergency or exceptional circumstances, please let us know so we can discuss options.
